Stop Motion Animation: Mythology

Ages: 8 - 12 Tuesdays 1:00 - 2:30 pm 9 weeks, 10/13 - 12/15 *no class 11/24

Class Info

Bring mythology to life through the art of stop motion animation using LEGO. Students explore myths and legends from around the world, including Anansi the Spider, the Trials of Theseus, and the walking house of Baba Yaga, while learning how these stories have been told across cultures and generations. Along the way, they learn the fundamentals of stop motion animation, including frame-by-frame movement, timing, and scene planning. Students edit their films, add sound effects and voice acting, use green screens, and design titles to create polished short films. This course blends storytelling, creativity, and digital media skills to transform ancient myths into engaging animated movies.

Cancellation Policy

  • We can provide a full refund (minus any service charges) if we get notice of cancellation at least two weeks before the start date of the class.

  • If you need to cancel less than two weeks before the start date:

    • We will do our best to fill the spot with another student.  

    • If we are able to fill the spot, we can provide a full refund (minus any service charges).  

    • If we cannot fill the spot, the family is responsible to pay the class fees.
