Ocean Adventures! Beginning Scratch

Ages: 8+ Mondays 12:00-1:00 PM PST - 6 weeks

Class Info

This class is for students who are still getting comfortable with the basics of Scratch. No previous experience required, but returning beginning students are welcome! Take to the high seas as we navigate our ships through dangerous waters and search for lost treasure! Students will be introduced to programming logic as they build their own sequences, compose animations, and then play and refine their programs. All exercises are age appropriate and will challenge students to blend their own imagination and creativity with the world of programming! REQUIRED: Access to Scratch either through your browser (scratch.mit.edu) or downloaded (scratch.mit.edu/download)

Cancellation Policy

  • We can provide a full refund (minus any service charges) if we get notice of cancellation at least two weeks before the start date of the class.

  • If you need to cancel less than two weeks before the start date:

    • We will do our best to fill the spot with another student.  

    • If we are able to fill the spot, we can provide a full refund (minus any service charges).  

    • If we cannot fill the spot, the family is responsible to pay the class fees.
